From the kitchen you will need

  • Nestlé® Sweetened Condensed Milk 397 g
  • Corn Flour 2.5 cups
  • Ground Mastic Beads 3 numbers
  • Soft Butter 2 tablespoons
  • Powdered Sugar 0.75 cup
  • Ground Pistachios 1 number
  • Water 2.5 cups

Step by Step

  • In a saucepan, pour 2 ½ cups water, add Nestlé® Sweetened Condensed Milk, 2 ½ cups corn flour, and ground mastic beads.
  • Pour in a medium sized pan and spread the soft butter.
  • Sprinkle the powdered sugar in the form of a layer until it covers the bottom of the pan.

  • Mix using a whisk, then add the pan over heat until the sugar gets caramelized.
  • Stir the mixture until the Mohalabiyah thickens.

  • Gradually start pouring the Mohalabiyah on top of the caramelized sugar.
  • Remove it from the heat for a bit of time and leave it to cool for approximately 10 minutes.
  • Leave it in the refrigerator for several hours or overnight before serving.
