Cake with Toffee Topping Recipe

From the kitchen you will need
- For the cake:
- Nestlé® Sweetened Condensed Milk 397g 1 tin
- Flour 1 ½ cups
- Baking Powder 1 teaspoon
- Cardamom (ground) ¾ teaspoon
- Vanilla Powder 1 teaspoon
- Cocoa Powder 3 tablespoons
- Butter melted ¾ cup
- Eggs 3 no.s
- For the toffee topping:
- Nestlé® Cream 170g 1 tin
- Sugar ½ cup
- Butter ¼ cup

Combine flour, baking powder, Nestlé® Sweetened Condensed Milk, cardamom, vanilla powder, cocoa, butter and eggs in a bowl of an electric mixer.

Beat on low speed until all ingredients are combined, then beat on medium speed for 4-5 minutes or until mixture is smooth and changes color.

Turn the mixture into a greased 25cm round baking tin and bake in 170°C preheated oven for 1 hour or until a skewer inserted comes out clean.

Turn out and leave to cool.

To prepare the toffee topping, stir the sugar over medium heat in a pan until it turns golden in color.

Stir in the butter and Nestlé® Cream and cook, stirring for 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat.

Spread the toffee topping evenly on top of the cake and chill.
